Our Family has had the pleasure of having Chef Alex in our home weekly for several months now. We switched from meal plans like Hello Fresh and Chef’s Plate and couldn’t be happier we did! Not only are we saving money, (you’d be surprised how much we actually save) but we’re eating nutritious, home cooked meals…that we didn’t even have to cook! We save copious amounts of time not having to go to the grocery store on a regular basis, cooking, cleaning up etc. that we now spend with our kids…or actually sitting down for a minute! I’ve also lost over 10 pounds without even trying! Mostly because I avoid the junk food aisles and unnecessary purchases from grocery from shopping hungry! And we don’t eat out as much because we know dinner is ready at home! We can request meals and he surprises us with yummy new dishes weekly! He even helps us with our picky eater’s requests! AND puts together all the kids lunches! NO MORE PACKING SCHOOL LUNCHES!!!
Chef Alex is professional, reliable, kind and he even does an awesome job cleaning up the kitchen when he’s finished! The only dishes we do anymore are plates and cutlery! No more baked-on-pan scrubbing! The benefits feel endless honestly.

Alex Hidalgo has been a personal chef for our family for a few years. Our family has versatile dietary needs and Alex was able to adjust to these very quickly. Mostly, I have been providing Alex with my own recipes (and they always turned out amazingly yummy), however, there have been times when I just let him snoop through the fridge and use the ingredients on hand. Alex was able to create delicious meals. His knowledge about Mexican cuisine is incredibly delicious. Alex has been cooking for us for over 3 years and it has simplified our life! He creates delicious, fresh meals you can just pull out of the fridge. He has an arsenal of great dishes to choose from, some of our favorites include Chicken Chop Suey, Maple Glazed Salmon, Chicken Souvlaki with lemon roasted potatoes and not to mention the many soups and salads. We met Alex and his family 8 years ago through our children’s school community – our family has been enjoying his authentic and fresh food creations, prepared in our home, ever since. It is easy to get started – Chef Alex arrives at your home with kitchen tools and food ingredients in totes – and a fantastic way to diversify home meal planning with high quality, chef-to-table dishes. Our personal favorites include Frijoles De La Olla, Green Rice, Chicken Enchiladas, and fresh salsas (Pico De Gallo and Red). So great!
Alex is amazing!! We have had a personal chef for 4 years now, and Alex is one of our personal favorites. We have had him cook for us in our home in a variety of fashions. Sometimes he comes and makes what he feels like making and other times I would give him recipes and he would prepare them for us. If he was unfamiliar with a recipe I sent him, he would make it ahead of time for his own family so he could learn it and then come to my house and it would be perfect. He really takes the time to make sure everything is right. His presentation of prepared meals was always impressive. He would add special touches that he thought would make it even better and it always did. His waffles. You need to try his waffles. They are so good – I think he had to start doubling or tripling the batch when he came, they would get eaten as fast as he could make them. We’ve had quite a few chefs (they come and go, part of the industry and age I think) and Alex has always been there. He is very reliable. But even better than reliable, he is clean! He leaves the kitchen spotless. Not all chef’s do this 😉 And last but not least, he’s a pleasure to have around – always happy, and he’s great with kids. Mine love to be involved in the kitchen and he had no problem letting them climb up on the counter and help. He’s a fantastic chef, and a really good person. I highly recommend him.
